I just wanted to drop everybody a line as we have had quite a few emails from people who weren’t present in the last series, wondering when the next Building Business Leaders event will be. The amount of time and effort to put into an increasingly high quality presentation, together with all my other jobs has necessitated us running these events in a slightly different way. We are continuing to have regular breakfasts in Perth and Adelaide, at the Burswood Convention Centre and Adelaide Festival Centre, but have cut these down to one major one a year. Other cities are operating on more of a random basis.
In my capacity as a Pastor and speaker I am often invited to churches or non-profit groups and businesses in most of these other capital cities and am now talking to the organisers that if they would like me to run a business presentation as part of what they are doing then we will try to do an event and open it up to a much broader community. In short we are still running these events, but not as systematically as we were before. Of course if you run an organisation and would like to host such an event, this can be easy arranged. I recently spoke for the Kalgoorlie Chamber of Commerce, where they had well over 300 gathered. The largest gathering they’ve had and was able to thus speak to the entire business community of the town. The local organisation, like the Chamber of Commerce, was able to do the work that we would normally do being on the ground and having staff devoted to that kind of purpose.
Just wanted to let everybody know that these events are still continuing and we will let people know through regular email contacts.
Coming up the Perth event will be 19th March 2009 and the Adelaide event will be 26th March 2009.
If you have any thoughts or comments, I’d love to hear from you
Yours sincerely
Phil Baker
